Adriana Lestido. Lo Que Se Ve
Lo Que Se Ve (what can be seen), or what Adriana Lestido has been seeing through her camera for over 30 years. This anthological book is a life journey in 152 photographs that span the main subjects of Lestido's work: mothers and daughters, women in prison, the children at the Hospital Infanto-Juvenil and her later series: love and Villa Gesell. The images are woven through by quotes from Sara Gallardo, John Berger, Alejandra Pizarnik and Clarice Lispector, Carl Jung, Raymond Carver and Pedro Salinas. The two final texts, by Marta Dillon and María de los Ángeles González, speak of beauty, hope and the depth of her aesthetics.
